Earn screen time chart maker
Choose up to seven tasks, set what each one earns and print a one-week chart. Your child ticks the days, adds up the coins and swaps them for screen time.

1 coin = 1 min of screen time · Daily limit: 60 min (90 min at weekends)
How the chart works
- Each task earns coins when it is done. Tick the box for that day.
- At the end of the day, add up the coins earned.
- Coins are swapped for screen time at the rate you chose, up to the daily limit.
- Coins that are not spent are saved for another day.
Tips for choosing tasks
- Keep it to five or fewer for children under 8.
- Mix learning, helping and healthy habits.
- Pay small, clear amounts, the same every day.
- Do not pay for basics such as brushing teeth.
There is more in earn screen time: a reward system that works and reward systems for kids that don't backfire.
Prefer an app?
Bip does this by itself on iPhone: lessons and chores you approve earn coins, coins wait in a piggy bank, and your child swaps them for game time within your limits.
Questions parents ask
How many coins should a task earn?
About 5 for a small task and 10 for a lesson or 20 minutes of reading. Keep the amounts small, clear and the same every day.
How much screen time should a coin buy?
One coin for one minute is the easiest for children to follow. Set a daily limit, so that earning never means unlimited time.
What age is an earn screen time chart for?
From about 5 with stickers and same-day rewards, and from 8 with coins that can be saved through the week.
